IV Vitamin Therapy

IV vitamin therapy delivers nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a drip. Some nutrients can also be given by intramuscular injection.

Treatment is only provided after a clinical assessment, and only where your nurse and GP agree it is appropriate for you.

HOW IT WORKS

Your IV appointment

Our collaborative IV Vitamin Clinic is run by experienced Nurses and Integrative GPs.

1. Book your appointment. Call us on 02 6685 6445 or book online. Please allow at least 24 hours between booking and your IV appointment. A $100 prepayment is taken at the time of booking.

2. Complete your intake form. Once you book, we'll send you an intake form asking about your medical history, why you're interested in IV therapy and which vitamins you'd like to discuss.

3. GP review. One of our GPs reviews your form and, if IV therapy is appropriate for you, signs off on your treatment.

4. Appointment confirmed. Once our GP has signed off, we'll confirm your appointment. On the day, your nurse goes over your health history, the vitamins you'll be receiving and anything else relevant to you before your IV begins.

5. Your infusion. Your nurse administers the IV under GP guidance. Sessions typically run for 30–45 minutes.

6. Aftercare. Your nurse checks in with you before you leave and talks through any follow-up.

By GP referral

Iron Infusions at The Health Lodge

We administer iron infusions in a comfortable, clinical environment. We can only administer iron infusions by referral from your GP, which can be arranged through one of our doctors or your own GP. Your GP must complete our external iron order form before your infusion.

What you'll need

  • A referral and script from your GP
  • To be well hydrated and nourished for your appointment
  • To rest onsite for 30 minutes post-infusion

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

How to Prepare for Your IV Appointment

Hydrate well: Drink 1–2 litres of water in the 1–2 hours before your session.

Eat a light meal or snack: Having something small to eat beforehand helps support your system during the infusion.

Arrive early: Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your appointment so we can begin on time.

Attend solo: For safety and comfort, we're unable to accommodate guests in the IV room. Support people are welcome to wait in our reception area.

Allow enough time: IV sessions typically run for 30–45 minutes, so please plan your schedule accordingly.
